Fighting Wolves

Fighting Wolves are a five piece band from London UK, who first formed back in 2010 and currently have a band line up consisting of Pierre Baudassé –guitars, Jack Bourne – guitars, Danny Martin – drums, Connor blue – bass and Paul Blue – vocals and guitar. Having already grown a strong following after successful tours with acts including The Union, Tyketto and St Jude, Fighting Wolves are fighting on and not taking any prisoners along the way.

Their debut album “Chapter One” which is produced by Matt Hyde (Fightstar + Slipknot) presents an interesting conundrum to the ears as although it respects many of Fighting Wolves familiar musical boundaries, it also sets about marking out a few new ones, all of which are respectfully intent on measuring their new generation of inspirations and influences.

From the onset of the albums first track ‘The End’, the listener is presented with a force of rock hard energy that is infused with an abundance of equally irresistible melodies which lyrically embraces the new at the expense of the old, and send out a clear message to the music world that ‘Fighting Wolves’ are on a mission and the journey starts right here.

As you venture further on into the album, the track ‘Give Me A Sign’ delivers up an experimental American electric rock undertone that is both clever and pioneering and sets out the scene for many of the other songs that follow. My particular favourites from the album are ‘One Minute More’ ‘Breathe In / Breathe Out’ and ‘Scared of Flying’, all of which I suspect to be giant hits just waiting to happen.

Checkout “Just To Feel Alive” taken from the new album.

Fighting Wolves will release ‘Chapter One’ on 4th February through true Blue Records and to mark this occasion they are set to celebrate with an album release show on the 17th February at the Garage in London. Following on from that, further tour dates across the UK with ‘Son Of Icarus’ fill their diary with more in March to follow.
